The Team - H.R.T. is a non-governmental organization of Search and Rescue, its members participated voluntarily in operations since 1978. Since 1994 it is running under the form of an association.

The USCG Auxiliary augments the forces of the USCG in SAR, boating safety and public education with its 30,000 volunteer members and their boats and aircraft - permitting the USCG to focus its resources on law enforcement, security and military operations.
