My IMRFWelcome to your own personal information page -The IMRF website is rich in features and information on maritime search and rescue. As a matter of policy, IMRF wishes to provide you, the user with as much access to information which is relevant to you as is possible, as well as providing you with as much freedom to update and share information with your colleagues and friends in the maritime rescue world as is possible. Access to the site's resources and the degree to which any particular user can interact with the system is managed by the site's security system. The remainder of this page explains what you can do to gain access to site information and resources which are relevant to you. Your Personal Log-inIn order to make sure that our web site provides you with information and access which is relevant to you personally, it must first have a way of identifying you from among our many thousands of other visitors. When you log in, the system immediately recognises you and will then provide you with the levels of access that have been assigned to your own personal site profile. We will explain how to check these later, but first of all, , please take the opportunity to check out your own personal profile to make sure that your contact details are up to date and that your preferences have been set correctly. You can do this by clicking on your own name, which is highlighted as a link to your personal profile details. When you have completed updating your personal profile, you can easily return to this page , by selecting the the "My IMRF" link. It will always be at the top of the side navigation menu bar, once you have logged in. If it is not visible, it probably means that you have not yet logged in, or that you have accidentally logged out as you browsed the site. Getting Access to the Site's ResourcesNow that you have entered your registration details, the system will recognise you and will apply the criteria which you have currently set if any) in making your contact details available to other IMRF member personnel. This is is the first important step in gainingThe IMRF web resource has been designed to provide appropriate and secure access to the personnel of IMRF member, donor and strategic partner organisations. To do this, the system needs to know which organisations you belong, (if any) and what your specific role is within these. You should now check that your on-line profile has been properly associated with all organisations to which you belong and that the role assigned to you us correct. Your association with IMRF organisationsThe process of associating web-site users with IMRF's member or partner organisations is performed by Authorised Representative of the organisation concerned and not by IMRF personnel. After all, only they are in a position to ensure that persons listed as being associated with that particular organisation, and possibly expressing opinions on behalf of that organisation, are properly permitted to do so by the organisation. The list below this paragraph shows all organisations with which your on-line personal profile has already been associated. If no organisations are listed, or if you are associated with other organisations which are not shown here, this is probably for one of the following reasons -
If you have any difficulties with this, please contact IMRF Secretariat for assistance. |
