WEBINAR - RESCUE BOAT OPERATOR MANUAL COURSE

We are running an exclusive webinar that focuses on the IMRF's Rescue Boat Operator Manual and Search Cards and the accompanying IMRF's online course. This training session is available to members. During this webinar we will look at how the IMRF Rescue Boat Operator Search Cards can be used to gather and conduct Search and Rescue (SAR) information and planning and brief Rescue Boat crews (SAR Units operators) with the necessary information to start a search.

We will highlight the importance of recording incident information and how the Search Mission Coordinator can task the SAR Units to carry out an effective search.

The session will include an overview of the different types of datum and area searches that can be used. The searches in the check cards are derived from the IAMSAR Manual Volume 3.

We will also introduce an exercising planning form template that can be used and adapted to plan SAR training activities, including a briefing and debriefing model.
