Why not join the IMRF Future Technology Panel?

The IMRF Future Technology Panel is inviting all members (especially new member organisations) to join the group.

Launched four years ago with participants from nine IMRF member organisations, it has gone from strength to strength and we are keen to encourage more members to get involved.

The panel discussions increase participants knowledge of emerging SAR technologies, can improve access to research activities and expertise and encourage cross-collaboration between organisations, removing the risk of duplication.

The panel meets online every month and is open to all IMRF member organisations.

It aims to link subject matter experts from different member organisations to share learning about SAR-related technological developments.

Past discussion topics have included; collaborative ergonomic and human centred watercraft design (eg whole body vibration, etc.), simulation (virtual reality, training simulation), autonomous vehicles (surface, sub surface, air) and modelling the maritime environment (wave prediction, etc.).

If there’s a SAR topic or technology challenge you, or your organisation, would like to examine and develop, please get in touch.

Similarly, if you have developed new SAR systems or equipment which you want to share or discuss with subject matter experts from other IMRF member organisations – now is your chance!

To join, just e-mail [email protected] stating your name and organisation and any aspect of future technology that you are particularly interested in, and you will be sent details of future meetings.
