On behalf of Sri Lanka Life Saving, congratulations go to Ms. Jeewanthi Ekanayake (Lecturer, Department of Nursing, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka) for winning the Best Poster Presentation Award at the SAFETY 2018 World Conference which was held in Bangkok, Thailand in November 2018!

It was a great recognition by the academic community and a reflection of the hard work of all involved in the “Swim for Safety” program in Sri Lanka, coming first out of 586 posters in 13 different fields of safety research.

Ms. Jeewanthi gave a great presentation explaining the poster entitled: 

"Sri Lanka Life Saving (SLLS) is the National Body for Life Saving and Water Safety related activities in Sri Lanka and in November it was able to achieve another milestone in the international arena of “Drowning Prevention and Water Safety.”
