On 19 October 2021, we were very pleased to host a webinar on Working with Volunteers, which was organised and presented by IMRF members from the Australasia region.

This webinar was hosted by our Chair, Dean Lawrence, who was joined by Callum Gillespie (CEO, Coastguard New Zealand), Alex Barrell (Deputy Commissioner, Marine Rescue New South Wales, Australia) and Mike Lawrence (President, Surf Lifesaving Karioatahi, New Zealand).

The presenters each gave their perspective on the challenges of recruiting, training and retaining volunteers and shared ideas for overcoming those challenges.
