Category: Lifetime Achievement in the Maritime SAR Sector

The Vladimir Maksimov Award for Lifetime Achievement is a special Award, presented by Inmarsat in memory of Vladimir Maksimov, an Inmarsat employee, who worked tirelessly to improve maritime safety around the globe. 

This Award is for an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to maritime SAR over many years. 

The nomination form should describe, as fully as possible, the contribution of the nominated individual to maritime SAR over a period of ten years or more. 

The individual should still be involved in some capacity in maritime SAR during the nomination period of 1 July to 31 May 2019
