The IMRF members are collaborating in developments and panels, which have become an important of the International Maritime Rescue Federation (IMRF).
The Future Technology Panel was set up late 2015, starting with their first meeting in May 2016.
The Fundraising/Communication 'Skill-Share' Panel had their first meeting in 2017.

Following the success of the KNRM-hosted June 2017 conference in Zandvoort, The Netherlands, a new skill-share meeting dedicated to fundraising and communication will be arranged in September, 17-19th, 2019.
The necessity of IMRF members collaborating in developments which are thought to become important in the next era was identified during a regional IMRF meeting in 2015 and on March 28th the third meeting of the future technology panel was hosted by the Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Institution (KNRM).
KNRM hosted the first IMRF Fundraising and Communication Skill-Share on Thursday, 29th and Friday 30th June 2017. The 2 day event provided the perfect platform for SAR organisations to learn from each other by sharing fundraising and communications successes, swapping ideas and having thoughtful discussions in the workshops and case studies presented.
