#SARyouOK?

On 26 April 2023 the IMRF welcomed speakers from all over the world, including New Zealand, South Africa, Sweden and the United Kingdom as part of its very first #SARyouOK? Online Workshop.

All three sessions from the workshop are now available to watch in full below. 


Session 1

In this session, Mark Bradley, a Critical Incident Responder and Trainer, talks about 'Creating a base for colleague health and wellbeing: Communication and follow through'. Adam Dixon, Trauma Risk Management & Wellbeing Delivery Manager, and Clare Learoyd, Medical Operations Support Officer at RNLI, talk about the RNLI’s journey in supporting the welfare of their people.


Session 2

In this session, Fredrik Forsman, a lecturer responsible for Training in Leadership, Strategy and Crisis Management at the maritime programmes at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden, talks about 'Psychological safety in SAR: A prerequisite for courageous leadership'.


Session 3

In this session, Graeme Harding, Training Manager at South Africa's National Sea Rescue Institute, talks about 'Dealing with stress and trauma'.
