Cancellation of Accommodation

The IMRF is not responsible for making, changing or cancelling any accommodation bookings for conference delegates.

Delegates are responsible for informing the hotel directly if they cancel their attendance  or require changes to any accommodation bookings that they have already made.

Please also check the hotel’s own cancellation policy before you book.

Image Consent

When you register at the training you will be given a consent form with further information, and for those  who wish not to be included in film/photo there is an “opt-out” choice.

Live Exercise

Delegates of the event taking part in the live exercise element of the event do so entirely at their own risk. Participants are expected to fill in a medical form latest at the beginning of the training.

The IMRF insurance does not cover any activity involving boats or any form of rescue craft. Therefore, it is the participants’ responsibility to ensure that they have adequate insurance coverage for this event, including travel. The Finnish Lifeboat Institution has a basic accident insurance that provides modest coverage in the event of an accident during the event, primarily for medical treatment costs. There is no daily allowance, and the insurance also does not cover property damage for the participants. If you consider this level of insurance insufficient, please make sure that you have your own insurance. EU citizens are requested to apply for the free European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) and have it with them.
