Which modules are launching now? On-Scene Coordinator Volume 3 is the first module to be launched through the Maritime SAR Academy. Developed with input from SAR professionals and subject matter experts from across the international SAR community, the module focuses on the role and responsibilities of the On-Scene Coordinator during maritime incidents, supporting learners in developing practical operational understanding and decision-making capability. The launch of the IMRF Maritime SAR Academy includes 3 additional e-learning modules alongside OSC Volume 3: Motivating Your Team: Team work is central to all SAR operations. This course reviews the types of motivation, the unique forces that motivate individuals and how that knowledge can be used to lead a successful team. A Guide to Mentoring Others: Being a mentor is a fantastic way to share your knowledge and experience. In this course, you’ll find out more about what a mentor does, qualities an ideal mentor should possess and how to lead productive mentoring sessions. Working Across Cultures: SAR is an international concern, involving people from many different countries and cultures. Working together effectively is essential. This course looks at how to communicate and collaborate harmoniously with people from around the world. The proposed SAR Planning & Risk Assessment Volume 1 has recently completed its Peer Review 1 stage.
